Hey! My name is Casey McEnry and I’m the other half of the Career Dreaming team. Similar to Rob I like to think that I have a pretty unique background, but for different reasons. I’ve had experience working in sales at a mall, building a couple of companies from scratch, being a top performer in SaaS sales, and now traveling the world while continuing to run my own businesses . So when I came across Rob’s website I immediately saw an opportunity to share some of my learnings from a totally different perspective.
The reason I gravitated to Career Dreaming is because when I was looking for help online coming out of college I saw a ton of absolute shit information. I felt like the information was either steering me in the wrong direction (take that entry-level role to get experience), or giving me false hope of what was realistic (drop everything and travel).
My goal here is to cut through all the noise online and share with you the things I’ve learned.

Ok, so why the hell am I here? During my last four years at LinkedIn I’ve had the chance to speak with almost 2,000 corporate recruitment professionals so I have a keen understanding of how to navigate that space. However, that’s not really why I’m here. During my career I’ve sold vitamins at a GNC, started my own SaaS company in college (failed), Sales Development for LinkedIn, started a couple of ecommerce companies, Enterprise Sales for LinkedIn, started my own consulting business and finally created another SaaS company while traveling the world. Somewhere during that time I received a double major in Marketing and Finance with a minor in Economics from Western Washington University.
The reason I mention all of those different experience is just to share with you that I’ve been in your position before. Instead of you making the same mistakes I did and taking years of my life only to realize a specific sales profession wasn’t for me, I want to share my learnings.
